As it turns out, there are a few errors in some CompTIA textbooks. Here are those that I have come across:

  • fiber is half duplex, but it does not mean you need two fibers for all connections... example: residential fiber using SC

• table 5.4: total distance of 100 meter

• before figure 8.2, vertical cables, UTP should be STP

• 3.5 cram quiz Q2 incorrect, answer says full tunnel VPNs only route specific network traffic
• 4.3 cram quiz: captive portal is not a network itself
